If you choose to embark on this path with us here at The Key, know that you will not be alone”. — Dr. Bobby Singh, Stanford Addiction Medicine graduate, Founder of The Key
Outpatient vs. Inpatient Drug Treatment
Both inpatient and outpatient programs in Santa Cruz focus on recovery from substance use disorder and successful post-recovery life. The personal journey when beginning a drug rehab program will depend on individual circumstances, goals and support system

Inpatient Treatment Services
Our inpatient program typically offers 40-50 hours of treatment per week and requires living at the treatment site. With 24/7 care, The Key Residential Recovery Center is the best option for detoxing safely and comfortably in the serene and peaceful home setting.
Outpatient Treatment Services
An outpatient program typically has fewer hours during the week and doesn’t involve living at the treatment site. Those in outpatient recovery have more flexibility and attend regular, voluntary, intensive outpatient programs while maintaining everyday routines.
The program is still very organized and deliberate. An outpatient program, like The Key Addiction Treatment Center, enables access to emotional support, medical advice and critical tools to help during and in post-recovery life.
